Overpopulation is an undesirable condition where the number of existing human population exceeds the carrying capacity of Earth. Overpopulation is caused by number of factors. Reduced mortality rate, better medical facilities, depletion of precious resources are few of the causes which results in overpopulation. It is possible for a sparsely populated area to become densely populated if it is not able to sustain life. The cause of over population are Decline in the Death Rate, Better Medical Facilities, More Hands to Overcome Poverty, Technological Advancement in Fertility Treatment, Immigration, and Lack of Family Planning.

If population growth is unsustainable, these are human ways to limit it. First, Empower women. It is easier to break out of poverty, while those who work are more likely to use birth control. Second, Promote family planning. Simply educating men and women about contraception can have a big impact.Our group aims to create a several online sources that will help people to help our society to prevent overpopulation.

Our group aims to create Change.org petition, a Facebook group and a Blog post to inform people on how to prevent overpopulation. We will be creating infographics and other related information connected to the social changes in our society. The scope of our project is to be able to reach the parent’s, teachers, and especially students to sign our petition.

We will be requiring a week to develop this project and we will start our promotion right after we uploaded the website. We will also be using our own resources so the funding for this project will be close to none. Our expences may only include printing of campaign materials and computer shop rentals incase we need more time outside school hours. We will alsobe using free services already offered by Facebook, WordPress and Change.org.

Social change refers to any significant alteration over time in behavior patterns and cultural values and norms. By significant alteration, sociologists mean changes yielding profound social consequences. Examples of significant social changes having long term effects include the industrial revolution, the abolition of slavery, and the feminist movement. Today’s sociologists readily acknowledge the vital role that social movements play in inspiring discontented members of a society to bring about social change. Efforts to understand the nature of long term social change, including looking for patterns and causes, has led sociologists to propose the evolutionary, functionalist, and conflict theories of change.

Social change happens all the time. Not every social change will be as dramatic as 9/11. One clear way we can see social change happening is through technology. It seems that even the newest technology is outdated a few days after you purchase it! Not all changes occur as fast as technology – some changes (and societies) are much slower to adapt to change. Social change is sometimes intentional, but oftentimes unplanned. Industrial societies such as the United States actively promote many kinds of change. While many dreamed of the day when cell phones would be commonplace, very few could have imagined all the consequences that were created as a result of that one device. Social change is controversial. One only has to look at the various equal rights movements to see that social change, oftentimes, involves controversy. Even the various changes set into motion because of 9/11 were controversial in nature many of you will remember the various debates surrounding the passing of the Patriot Act. Some changes matter mote than others. Changes in hairstyles and clothing patterns (while embarrassing when looking at old pictures) carry little significance in the “big picture”. Other changes, such as the invention of the automobile, computer, and cell phone changed the way the word interacts. “I’m free to be me, when I’m drug free!”

In society we face a number of problems. We face many different problems from ocean to ocean, but the problem that causes the most problems these days are drugs. With drugs come many different problems. Drugs cause bad decision making, committing crime, and gets people very addicted to bad habits. 
Drugs in the present day are causing people to make bad choices and bad decisions. Drugs aren’t necessarily making people do things that aren’t right, but make it so that people don’t think straight. When people don’t think straight they tend to make wrong choices. When people make wrong choices it usually puts people around them in danger, which isn’t good to have citizens endanger ever.
People go simply crazy is awful and sometimes drugs are the reason for going crazy. If you have ever seen the show Cops or anything like that most of the shows are filled with people going crazy and committing crimes. That leads into my next subject, committing crime because drugs. A lot of crimes like robbing, GTA, murder, Suicide, Homicide, DUI, etc., all are horrible things people do while on drugs. If the world was to crack down on drugs there would be a lot less crime and murders. Less crime and so on the world would be a way better place.
Bad habits are the worst thing about drugs. Common bad habits of drugs are skipping school, skipping work, and not paying bills, are just a few common habits caused by drugs. First off skipping school will get you no where, because when you skip a lot school you will get kicked out. Once you’re kicked out you have a slim chance of getting to college. Once college is ruled out then you have a very shy chance of getting a good paying job. Second off skipping work is just going to get you fired and that will look bad on your record if you ever go to get another job. Also then you wouldn’t be able to afford rent, insurance, bills, groceries, the drug itself, and whatever has to be paid. Once that happens you would lose everything that you were paying and paying off.
Imagine a world where there are no drugs what so ever. We wouldn’t have to fear as much about crime. No more worrying about what you chose to try because it wouldn’t drugs in it. No more worries about what kids are doing when parents don’t know where they are. The world would be a better place less crime, less bad decision making, less addicted people, and less whackos in our society. Our world would be drug free! Wouldn’t that be great?

We intend to transform the drug prevention field so that entire communities are equipped and empowered to lead children into adulthood drug-free. We offer educational materials that accurately depict drug and alcohol trends as well as ways families, friends and communities can promote drug prevention among today’s youth. Our vision can become a reality with the help of people who are committed to championing our cause for a drug-free generation and promoting drug prevention resources. 1. Word: Dupil

Definition: It is an amulet, or anything that is believed to have the power to save the person who owns it from any harm. The more popular Tagalog words currently being used are anting-anting and agimat.

Example: Ginamit ni Pedro ang dupil upang maligtas ang kaniyang kapatid sa kapahamakan.

2. Word: Isalat

Definition: It is an action word that refers to the use or infliction of witchcraft, or a secret power to inflict pain and suffering to other people.

Example: Lumapit si Aliyah sa isalat upang ipakulam sila Mina at Tanya.

3. Word: Sulatroniko

Definition: It is a messages distributed by electronic means from one computer user to one or more recipients via a network.

Example: Ipinadala ko na ang sulatroniko ko kay Angela.

4. Word: Kansunsilyo

Definition: Boxer shorts are a type of undergarment typically worn by men.

Example: Ginamit na ni Andrei ang bagong biniling kansunsilyo sakanya ng kanyang tiya.

5. Word: Anluwage

Definition: It is a person who makes and repairs wooden objects and structures.

Example: Ihanap moko ng anluwageng kayang gumawa ng upuan para sa sala.

6. Word: Maniniyot

Definition: Bisayan word for photographer

Example: Si Maria ay isang maniniyot sa kasal ni Sabel at Hulyo.

7. Word: Sambat

Definition: a fork is a tool consisting of a handle with several narrow tines on one end.

Example: Paki-abot nung sambat dyan sa kusina.

8. Word: Labaha

Definition: It is an instrument with a sharp blade or combination of blades, used to remove unwanted hair from the face or body.

Example: Ginamit nya ang labaha sa cr upang kanyang ipang-ahit sa kanyang balbas.

9. Word: Sipnayan

Definition: it is the abstract science of number, quantity, and space.

Example: Hindi mahirap aralin ang sipnayan kapag nakikinig ka sa turo ng iyong titser.

10. Word: Pulot-gata

Definition: It is the traditional holiday taken by newlyweds to celebrate their marriage in intimacy and seclusion.

Example: Pagtapos nilang ikasal ay lumipad sila papuntang Greece para sa kanilang pulot-gata.
